Life Among The Wokescolds

A frightening dispatch from the educational apocalypse. One note, though.

  1. So Rand if a powerful unknown man tried to grabbed you and kissed you on the street. You wouldn’t have shot him and claimed self defense from his assault?

    1. Nary a drop of testosterone in your body, “Engineer”, is there?

What a sad little wokescold you are.

      1. So it fine if you got testosterone? Eric so you have no problem with a Random Testosterone filled gay man grabbing you and kissing you then?

Let me guess Eric you also super cool with rappers lyrics about woman too? Or is that a no?

No I just don’t believe in double standards , everyone is created equal under god being born a man, female, gay, straight, black, white don’t give you any more privileges than someone else.

        1. Recreate this scenario with two gay men and then ask a gay man if he would be upset.

The lady in question wasn’t a lesbian and she also wasn’t upset. Her opinion is more important than yours.

Sometimes, I wonder if any of these wokescolds have ever kissed or been kissed by either a man or woman.

    2. That is one of the stupidest questions I’ve ever seen at this web site. And that’s a pretty high bar.

I’m pretty sure that it wouldn’t have occurred to a sailor who was thankful to nurses, and grateful that he wasn’t going to die in an invasion of Japan, to have dipped and kissed me.

      1. Well your first fallacy she wasn’t a nurse though the sailor and everyone else assumed she was.

Rand I am sure we can concoct a situation where someone drunk enough would be excited to dip and kiss even you , as hard as it might be to fathom.
In your being dense specific situation how bout you in a lab coat and be mistaken for a doctor.
And my question is more in general think we can agree a stranger grabbing someone and kissing them is assault, now their extenuating circumstance in the photo but still doesn’t change the basic fact.

        1. Rand is married, but it is always a mystery as to what people find attractive in their spouses, if you know what I mean Engineer…

        2. The only real question is, what hole, did you crawl out from?

What kind of person thinks the options are limited to killing someone or arresting them for sexual assault, if they were to kiss you?

If someone were instead to give you a big hug, would it be a lesser type of assault, say, a misdemeanor, that is punishable with a fine?

          1. What kind of person thinks the options are limited to killing someone or arresting them for sexual assault, if they were to kiss you?

Winner, we have ourselves a winner here!

Included in the options to fight back or demand an arrest; there is the option of, “Thank you, may I have another?” plus so many more choices. If I had to choose between a stranger kissing me and another stranger dictating how I live my life down to whom I kiss and when; option 1 is looking pretty good to me. Option 2 can sod off.

    3. The biggest mistake you make in your post, here, is that you think one size fits all. You think if one woman would be bothered by that then ALL women MUST be bothered by that….and if they aren’t they will be sent to the re-edukation kamp!

The woman is on record saying she didn’t mind at all.
      Not then….not later….not ever.

The second mistake you make is to assume that’s how all women of that TIME must think – you are forgetting the era. You are forgetting the threat.

      Or you never knew it.

You label yourself an engineer….hmmm. I have my doubts as your thinking (I will be generous can call it thinking) seems one dimensional.

You sound like another purported engineer who used to hang around here……

  2. I don’t see the point of arguing today’s mores on people and situations of 73 years ago. That sailor just found out he was going to live. We haven’t been engaged in such if a war of existence since. The millennials should reflect on that. The next one, if fought, will end for most in a brilliant flash they may or (if lucky) may not notice. Tell me about mores when your child is starving in a post-apocalyptic country. What war means “dudes”.

  3. My father was a *VERY* junior worker bee on the Manhattan project, and spent much of the war on various and sundry errands associated with it.

He had 5 brothers, all of whom served in the armed forces, and all of whom wold have been involved in the invasion of Japan, either in Operation Olympic or Coronet.

To the day my father died, whenever any of his brothers saw him, they always greeted him as ‘my brother the savior’, because (as they explained it to me) he saved their lives. I never doubted the sincerity or the intensity of their emotion when they told me this, and I have no question but that they felt the same overwhelming joy when their learned of their deliverance as that sailor did when he learned of his.

The woman in question was apparently a bit taken aback by the kiss, even put off by it (I cannot blame her), but she apparently understood the context. That last bit is what the wokescolds (including our own example here) don’t seem to understand….context is everything….

    1. “The woman in question was apparently a bit taken aback by the kiss, even put off by it”
Actually, I have seen her quoted as saying, “It was a pretty good kiss.”

  4. “And do you think she consented to that kiss?” she said icily. “No, no she did not. That is a photo of an assault. That man should have gone to jail.”

I guess this means that the younger cohort of progressives has formally abandoned “ending mass incarceration” as a progressive goal.

  5. “And do you think she consented to that kiss?” she said icily. “No, no she did not. That is a photo of an assault. That man should have gone to jail.”
The young wokescold has probably never consented to a kiss in her life, and can’t imagine why anyone would. As for the woman in the picture, it is perfectly obvious that she is not merely consenting, but willingly and enthusiastically participating. As if that wasn’t obvious from the photo, I remember some thirty or forty years ago when they tracked her down and interviewed her about it. She said. “it was a pretty good kiss.” If our young wokescold wasn’t completely ignorant, she would have known that.

  6. Feminists hating men is a bit of a cliche but there is a branch that resents that men are attracted to women and that women are attracted to men. Normal people think its stupid to think that things would be any other way, even allowing for homosexuality, but there is a branch of feminism who think only women should couple with women, even the straight ones.

When you look at feminist agitation through this lens, it is apparent that a lot of the complaining about society’s treatment of women is centered in the jealousy that most women find men appealing. It is less about hating men or changing their behavior than it is about being upset that women don’t want to only sleep with women. It’s anti-woman.
