The Left And Trump

Why they so despise him:

The far-left faction of the Democrats, led by congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, have with this big, very white, rigorously politically incorrect billionaire, what they believe, tactically and by uncontainable impulse, is the target of their political dreams.

Mr. Trump is the personification of every policy they hate and every human trait they despise; to them, he is a monster of ignorance, greed, bombast, bellicosity, and racist bigotry. They are like World War II movie submarine captains seeing a thousand feet ahead of their periscopes a giant enemy oil tanker, inching through still waters.

Their hate is real, but their impression of the target is a chimerical mirage. In pursuit of him it is acceptable to say publicly “impeach the motherf***er,” to claim adequately outfitted border detention centers where illegal migrants are fed Big Macs are “concentration camps” where children are forced to drink from toilets, and to demand a green terror, unpatrolled borders, free health care for everyone, doubled income-tax rates in the high and corporate brackets, trillions of dollars for reparations to nonwhites, and legalized infanticide.

All four of them qualify as anti-Semites. As has been widely mentioned, the president is doing what he can to help make these four the best publicly known face of the Democrats. They are, to adapt other lavatory images, drinking their own bathwater, and the president will hang their insane ideas around the Democrats’ necks like a toilet seat.

  1. Strictly speaking, “despise” connotes a combination of hatred and contempt.

I think what they really feel toward him is fear — because unlike the Beltway Republicans they’re accustomed to, Trump can’t be bullied.

    1. The Bulwark “conservatives” are opining that Republicans need to stand up FOR Elijah Cummings.

      1. These are the same people who were taking potshots at Cummings just a couple of years ago, too.

  2. For sure, Democrats treat Trump they way they do because if their racist views toward old white men and becuase of their Marxist hatred of rich people who are not Democrats but these aren’t views they have only for Trump.

Any Republican that beat Hillary would have been treated the exact same way. The street violence and protests are strategies the Democrats use to ritualize the obedience if the base while punishing those they scapegoat for problems real and imagined. And its not like the media would treat a different Republican any better.

Its likely that the Obama administration was running intelligence assets at other Republicans to do the same thing he did to Trump, try to rig the election and over throw the presidency in a coup. Part of that was a willing media that knowingly and activly helped. So, its not like people like that would treat some other Republican any better.

McGehee is right. Trump is not bowing down to their bullying. I don’t kniw if it makes them fearful but it certainly does cause them to keep ramping up the attacks, lies, distortions, and sensationalism.

    1. Any other Republican President wouldn’t be Trump, and none of them would have beaten Hillary.

    2. Any other Republican who managed to get elected–with the possible exception of Cruz–wouldn’t have done enough to be worth the left doing much rioting anyway.

      1. See, that’s what I’m getting at. The rioting isn’t due to their feelings on Trump, its just what they do. It’s a social activity for them that has a lot of beneficial byproducts for the party. Activism is a cultural obligation. Its what the cool kids do.

When there is no issue to use as a pretext to rile the masses, they just make one up. It’s like when they call Republicans racist. It isn’t about fightiting racism or an objective racist act, making the accusation is the strategy. There is nothing Republicans can change in their behavior to stop the accusation because making the accusation is the strategy.

The same is true of the Democrat’s militant activism.

  3. Trump saved us the trouble of finding out that [ Jeb! | Cruz | Kasich | Carson | Christie | Rubio | Walker | Santorum | Fiorina | Jindal ] were unrepentant white supremacists.

But don’t worry. When the next Republican President takes office, all the CNN pundits will compare the newly elected monster to that great and reasonable statesman, Donald J Trump. They always do that.

For example, earlier today I was at a blog where the authors are each writing a piece in support of their preferred candidate, including rather amusing endorsements of Beto and Williamson. I decided to go where nobody else would, and had this brief exchange in the post supporting May Ann Williamson’s “Love will save us” strategy.

    Me:
Could you write a post supporting my preferred candidate?

Who will defend our southern border and not let us get overrun by 120 million Latin Americans who are currently living in poverty? Who will ensure we don’t outgrow our resources? Who will solve climate change, overpopulation, out of control home prices, urban decay, suburban sprawl, rationed health care, and make sure Social Security stays solvent?

    Thanos will.

You see, love isn’t the solution, it’s the problem. The more love we have, the more our population grows, and that growth can become unsustainable.

When you look up the word “solution” in the dictionary, you see Thanos staring back at you.

    Thanos, 2020.

    Show me the birth certificate.

George Turner in reply to Jaybird
Oh, so let’s punish Thanos because his parents didn’t come here an pop out an anchor baby like all the other illegal aliens.

The birthers are why we can’t have nice things, why we have homeless people sleeping in tents, and why we’re running “concentration camps”.

Thanos is, once again, the cure for all that.

He brings strength and order where there was once just weakness and chaos. He brings prosperity and living space where there was once just poverty and suffocating density. He is what the galaxy cries out for, saving each and every corner of it and leaving no child behind.

When your children one day gaze across endless waves of grain instead of blighted city scapes dotted with belching smoke stacks cranking out Soylent Green, tell them “Thanos did this.”

    “Thanos.”

But we all know that the modern Democrat party would attack him because he’s blue, or attack him for not being an authentic representative of blue values, and claim they loved having an orange President, or claim that wiping out half the galaxy somehow has a disparate impact on the poor, women, and people of color.

  4. Chris Stigall has a hilarious take on the Dems vs. Trump. Trump is the Roadrunner, and the Dems are Wile E. Coyote. They go into their cave, and concoct a fiendish plot to get the Roadrunner, order supplies from ACME, then strap the rockets to their rollerskates, and slam into the side of the cliff as the Roadrunner zips away. I can’t think of a more apt analogy.

  5. Not entirely on topic (on the democratic socialist tendency instead of their propensity to hate), but too good to not pass along:

The right response to the slogan, “We want Sweden, not Venezuela” really is, “The Venezuelans didn’t want Venezuela either, but that’s what they got.”

  6. The MSNBC folks are just ridiculous. I’m sure many have already seen this, and it is just pathetic. Apparently CNN and WaPo played along as well. If you are going to run a MiniTru operation; then you better first obliterate the Internet that allows anybody to fact check you (and your bias fact checkers).

  7. President Trump just kicked out another leg the left tries to stand on. Baltimore is just one of many cities rotting under Democrat control. He is systematically destroying their house of cards. Their ideas do not work. When you look under the curtain, their entire program folds. For this, they cannot forgive the President. This is why they hate him so. The last republican mayor of Baltimore left office in 1967. It’s been in democrat hands for the over 50 years.

  8. The fact that the Dems/Libs/Soccies keep trying and keep failing and still keep trying (especially with Nadler and Schiff) makes one wonder….

Are they really that deranged that they cannot see they are failing?

Or is the objective merely to heap negativity on Trump to try and make him less popular?

Trump played the Baltimore Gambit back during the election. He said to African-Americans:

“What do you have to lose?”

He’s saying it again only more clearly and forthrightly and the recipients of the message have had a chance to look around and check that out for themselves.
