This should be cool. We’ll probably be able to see them from the house when they come to LAX, then fly down to the harbor.

My Dad was involved in getting the Angels to appear at Spirit of St. Louis Airport sometime back in the 1960s. I believe they were flying Grumman F-11s at the time, and I had (somewhere) a model of one signed by the pilots – but it has sadly vanished. The one thing I remember most vividly, aside from the show, was my Dad’s story of the Angels drinking him under the table…though I can’t recall if it was the night before or after the show.
