  1. A very good point. The corollary is that your right to property includes those tools required for defense of said property – like AR-15’s and Glock pistols.

  2. A while back, there was some kind of ex-cop that commented here that getting robbed was no big deal because of insurance and such. Dealing with crimes like this, and the riots, takes more than a financial toll. Time, stress, and a lot of extra work have to happen to replace what was stolen.

Ignoring it just leads to more of the same whether it is people stealing cars or Progressive Marxist riots and revolutions.

The police chief in Seattle said they wouldn’t defend people’s property but she is a Democrat and doesn’t understand that the means to provide for yourself, family, and employees is not just “property”. She doesn’t even understand that her paycheck and the paychecks of all the other government workers can only be paid if the populace is healthy enough to pay them.

    1. Those who say that we shouldn’t worry about being crime victims because of insurance must not understand the concept of deductibles.

      1. There are also many items that are not covered by insurance unless your have “riders” or pay extra for them as “listed property.”

        1. What of the personal time that you have lost dealing with the vandalism? We only have a limited span in this life and they have stolen some of that time — ironic that Marxists (who believe that only the time spent on labor has value) support stealing Your time.

      2. The other thing is that one needs to think of insurance not as “free money to replace your stuff” but rather as a form of financing. People filing claims can see their rates increase.

      3. Nor do they understand the concept of irreplaceable items. Until, of course, they get burned out themselves. Like Paul Gallant; the twit who previously twitted that he took a walk and saw no violence and chided Trump. But then, the starbucks under his apartment was torched. Oh!!! then he see’s the light:

I feel like I need to buy a firearm, because clearly this is going to keep happening. Enough is enough. It looks like a block party down the street from me. Really angry right now.

      4. And for a business, it doesn’t cover the lost income while you’re filing a claim and getting repairs done. You’ve gotta cover that with your own cash.

  3. If your “property rights” have no value then how can you ask that the most important thing you own be respected — yourself???

    1. Ahhh, that is the heart of it. Progressive Marxists go on and on about seizing the means of production and how everything will be better once the “workers” are in charge but they already control the means of production, their own selves.

You want to be in charge? You are in charge, make good decisions to better yourself.

  4. Property destruction either as vandalism or arson are defined crimes in all 50 states. Until these laws are off the books contrary arguments are pointless expostulation. Ignore it.

    1. You can’t “ignore it” because it’s a belief system that drives these people. They have to become informed….taught.

And they are not – which part of the reason we have these problems.

I haven’t heard a single congressman continually expound publically on the concept of personal property rights in the last 30 years.

      1. Then re-educate them. 5 to 10 ought to do the trick. About same amount of time otherwise wasted earning crud.

  5. If property is valueless to them, then by all means, take theirs away to compensate their victims. If they have none, then take away their freedom.
