  1. ” Maybe I was put off by the slightly passive-aggressive tone of the message: Were the homeowners trying to distinguish themselves from their sign-less neighbors who, presumably, don’t believe in love and kindness? ”

Yes. It is identity politics. Democrats say what they are for and claim everyone else is against it. Democrats use race, enlightenment, and evolution, not evolution the scientific concept but that they are evolutionarily superior.

  2. If I were Fauci I’d retire before I get cross-ways with my Democrat masters, else this buried Newsweek story will likely hit the fan in the MSM (for real). tick tick tick.

FWIW the research I’ve conducted on my own about CRISPR etc. indicates they leave no biological markers at cut sites. So, perhaps the only forensics possible is to compare S proteins in SARS-CoV-2 against those in bats to see if natural mutation could have led to human SARS-CoV-2 or if the genetic sequence is so novel compared to natural mutations observed in the wild, say among bat species that natural mutation to the human pathogen is unlikely. Anyone want to take a guess? Anyone want to bet that this research would be published?

Ah but not to worry. The two-star Red Army general put in charge of the Wuhan Institute of Virology last year has had at least a year to get their record straight. And all the team research conducted by the WHO that has been to Wuhan recently (led by Peter Daszak, see link above) assures us there is nothing to see there… The Science has spoken!
