    “The odds ratio of subclinical coronary atherosclerosis among current and former smokers was not significantly associated with coffee consumption, whereas among never smokers, the intake of coffee up to 3 cups/d was associated with lower odds of coronary calcification (odds ratio: 0.37 [95% CI, 0.15–0.91]; P=0.036 for trend).”

  2. There’s always the possibility your body is trying to tell you something. If you don’t like the taste and don’t feel any effect, could be that whatever coffee is doing for most of us (essential ambrosia!) your body is already doing for itself.

    Sensitivity to the stuff obviously varies widely. I’ve another friend who won’t touch coffee because one cup and she’s bounce-off-the-ceiling wired for hours and won’t sleep that night.
