I’m pretty sure it’s not just “the algorithm is confused” that’s crapping up the feed. There’s a big fat woke thumb on the scales, hiding behind “the algorithm”, coughing up approved slop.
I dropped my subscription in part because they changed the display on the X-box (which, for reasons of circumstance, is where I was using Netflix). They trimmed down the display to limit what you could see, all oh-so-carefully curated by the holy algorithm. No, you don’t need to see a three-by-five grid of titles, we’ll show you what you should be watching. Don’t browse, just consume the feed. That’s a good serf.
But yes, that is useful information that I’ll want to access if I restart my subscription.
I have trouble watching anything on TV. I recline the armchair and fall asleep.
Too bad I’ll never see those things to change, since I haven’t had an Ex-Twitter account since around 2016. I’ve neither needed nor missed it.
