Don’t think this will matter for unofficial waiting periods where local background checks are slow walked through state and local systems.

Our Walmart Superstore in Manassas has quietly resumed selling firearms (long guns) and every kind of ammunition and gun accessory imaginable. This after the chain declared that it would no longer sell such things following the George Floyd “summer of love”. Dick’s eliminated their gun section in all of its stores, and is starting to go out of business. Good riddance.
The amazing news is that suppressors (aka “silencers”) appear to have become deregulated, after the BATF failed to file an appeal to a SCOTUS ruling that federal suppressor regulations ceased having a legal foundation once the Administration stopped collecting the $200 suppressor “tax”. North Carolina is suppressor central, and sales are skyrocketing. I haven’t checked my future home of Tennessee’s laws, but hope they catch up.
Progress of these sorts is solid, but also patchwork. The 10th Circuit ruling will only have effect within the territory it covers. These issues have to work their way to SCOTUS before we blue state residents can pop any champagne corks. Still, all progress of this sort is good.
