The national parks make America feel like mine.
Not mine in the petty sense of possession. Mine in the strange, almost sacred sense that something can belong to you simply because you belong to it.

Wait until she sees the rainforests and the mountains above them in the northwest corner of the 48. Not better than the ones she mentioned but different and just as movingly beautiful.
