  1. Personally I am torn between the two choices. I an NOT a fan of this bailout (as we seem to be repeating the same mistakes the Japanese made in the 90’s and the New Deal way back in the day that prolonged both recessions).

    But on the other hand I would love for SpaceX to receive some funds, as I have more faith in them using it wisely than I due NASA (as they are usually never given enough funds for anything).

  2. I’d rather SpaceX stay out of the pockets of government as much as possible. Even the COTS D program is a little too close for comfort for me (although it will obviously benefit them greatly in the short term).

    I’d like to keep the regulators and overseers at bay as long as possible with New Space.

  3. I’d rather have a stimulus for COTS-D than fund the rather un-stimulating Ares I program. But this isn’t an either-or proposition. Even though COTS-D is the most cost-effective way to get Americans in space by 2012 or so, the Ares porklauncher program will march on unless something drastic changes.
