My friends from the midwest said that every summer the papers would have letters to the editor whining that daylight savings time was burning their lawns.
Isn’t this the same kind of thinking that’s behind “biofuels” or “recycling”, or “conservation” as energy sources? I mean, do people actually believe that the amount of energy from “biofuels” is greater than all the fuels used to grow the stuff and transport it and turn it into alcohol?
It may be legitimate idiocy, but that smacks of satire.

Actually, I almost wrote after my statement, “Still, I blame Bush”; because after all President Bush changed when DST starts/stops. If that reader mail was sincere, then I expect the motivation was to blame Bush.
