Is it slip slipping away? Many seem determined to grease the skids. And as noted, the picture of the European “defence ministers” is less than inspiring.

A Cancer-Fighting Virus
…has been genetically engineered.
I propose that anti-GMO types not be given access to it. Of course, if they stick to their…guns…they would refuse it.
The Martian As Time Travel
It takes us back to our society half a century ago.
As I’ve said repeatedly, the part of the film that requires the most suspension of disbelief is that NASA would ever be sufficiently audacious and cost effective to send someone to Mars.

That time they started a war with an Irish restaurateur that they were hilariously doomed to lose.
The Donald
…finally treats a political opponent with respect and good faith.
I understand the white-hot anger at the GOPe, and share it. I will never comprehend the notion that Trump is a rational response to it. He’s a Democrat, and a opportunistic chameleon with (like Romney) no discernible political principles.
When God Goes Away
…superstition takes his place. Including things like the climate-change religion.

Why he isn’t President Romney. Mitt was a good businessman (and a good man, among the best ever to run for president), and the country would be in much better shape, both domestically and overseas, if he had won. But he had (and has) no discernible political principles or ideology, and cannot fathom anyone who does. The electorate could tell, and they wanted something more. [Update quite a bit later] I’m having serious link issues today. Fixed now, sorry. …you can’t get your childhood back. As someone in my early twenties when it came back, I was a lot less impressed than the kids at the time. After the duds that were Eps 1-3, I’ll probably wait for it to be free on television. The endless debate: Are they domesticated? I think ours is, pretty much, but then, I think females are more than males. They don’t tend to wander as much, in my experience. Rerun doesn’t go more than a house or so away, AFAIK.Mitt Romney
