Yes, years ago.
Well take y’all down to Southern Lous’iana n’ check out that there new SpaceX site near Peeecan Island. An on yer way back pick up a water moccasin ‘n copperhead or two. If yer wearn’ a hat with a rattlesnake sweatband I hear yell qualifyyy fer a discount.
My cat and I just watched a rooster beat the fuck out of a couple of foxes. Rooster got banged up, but the foxes haven’t come back for more chicken.
Wellll now. I say there youn’g feller. Where’y y’all heading this fine day. I say…
I use chain link covered with chicken wire to keep the buggers out of my melons (which are grown in a large former dog kennel). For some reason they don’t seem interested in the japalenos.
They are crafty devils. I once saw two follow a skunk through a State Park campground. As the humans scattered for cover the two of them hopped up on the benches and tables knocking things down to pay off their stinky patron. You had to smile!
“Have you ever seen a racoon up close? They have a black band across their eyes that looks very much like a darling little mask and they have hands with fingers on them. The fingers have developed by natural selection so that today’s raccoon can carry a complete set of burglar tools.”
