Greta, You're An Idiot

She's just letting this Palestinian representative sit there and lie to her, and not challenging him. He says that it's "nonsense" that they teach children to martyr themselves in the schools. He says that "no one" would support their childrens' suicides.

All she would have had to do was to have some tape cued up of these lunatic Palestinian mothers bragging about how they wanted to send their sons off to die. Or some graphics of some texts from the madrassas. Or some tape of the Arafat praising the martyrs in Arabic (it would be effective with English subtitles, and he would have looked like a real ass trying to say that that wasn't what Arafat was saying).

But no, she didn't bother to prepare for this interview. I preferred the rotation that Fox had before Greta came aboard. It was inconsistent, but it wasn't consistently incompetent.

What, and risk being called a racist? Risk having Hussein Ibish rattle his mayonnaise-encrusted chins at you for the next two weeks?

I've yet to see an honest interview with any of these P.A. apologists, but I'd sure like to. In fact:

Palestinian rep: "It's absurd to suggest we teach our children to martyr--"

Interviewer (hands over ears, eyes closed): "La la la I'm not lis-ten-ing to you la la la because you are a li-i-i-ar la la mmmmmmmm."

Couldn't agree more. When Fox hired her I actually felt compelled to register a lengthy complaint. My respect for Roger Ailes took a nosedive when that happened. Rita Cosby, Laurie Dhue and Linda Vester are all a) better informed, b) much more personable, and c) a hell of a lot easier on the eyes than the aforementioned Ms Van Susteren. At least Rita has a weekend show. I was originally skeptical that Alan Keyes could play the roll of host/interviewer opposite Greta on MSNBC but you know what - he's actually pretty good!! Check him out.

I don't mind Fox having a liberal host a show, what grinds me no end is her stupid, lawyerly slant on matters. Not to mention the bug up my ass I have over Scientologists in positions of authority. Will anyone in the media ever learn?

Agree!

When she gets out of the legal zones she is lost why they have her pretend to do none legal stuff is beyond me. She is way out of her depth.

Shouldn't the headline be "Greta You Ignorant Slut" (a la Dan Ackroyd from the early Saturday Night Live).
