Next Thing You Know, They'll Be Following Orders

In the Washington Post yesterday, they've got a real howler:

Sen. Barbara Mikulski, a Maryland Democrat who chairs the committee that funds NASA, has expressed reservations about the growing cooperation between the military and the Pentagon.

[Update on Saturday morning]

Two days later, they haven't gone back and fixed it.

Wonder if they'll do an errata next week? Or already have and I just haven't seen it?

It's a man bites dog story all right. Next, an EPA report detailing the wetness of water and a 10 year study from the Interior Dept. that bears do shit in the woods. Tell me again why we should respect the government?

And people voted for her...

Well, while I'm no fan of Senator Mikulski, it's not clear that this is an actual quote. It's just as likely stupid reporting. Especially considering the source.

What a maroon! Hope to gawd this was a misquote... Freaking hilarious though!
