They Might Replace Her With Someone Intelligent

Given that she'd be replaced by another Democrat, I don't agree with those who want Patty Murray to resign. I want her to remain a continuing, festering wound on the face of the idiotarian branch of the Democratic Party--an ongoing reminder that a significant segment of that party (including her fellow Washingtonian "Baghdad Jim" McDermott) supports and trusts our enemies more than their own government.

The democrats have exactly who the deserve in charge. The greater control that people such as her have over the party, the faster that party will wither and die...

Tempting as it may be to wish a continued festering wound on the Democrats, America has a two party system and I'd rather that they were both responsible parties, not one Idotarian and the other anti-Idiotarian.

The democrats are in a position where they will not change until they get whipped badly. Until that happens, they will continue on beliving they are only experiencing temporary setbacks because of the power of the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy(R).

As for Patty the Muron, I want her to stay, because replacing her means the Democrats get to run as both a "new face" and as an incumbent in 2004. Instead, Patty will make sure that the seat will be in play, assuming the Republicans in this state tcan get their act together for once.

Unfortunately, idiotarians flock together in certain locations like Seattle and elect self-reflecting representatives, as Jim McDermott just proved. But as an unwilling constituent of both Patty Murray and McDermott, I say let 'em rot on the vine till the 2004 election, then let them have it with both barrels loaded with their own statements.
