This is for Trent if he is checking in,

I always considered myself about the most optimistic conservative/libertarian around. Not only do I have supreme confidence that we will win the war on terror, but I have supreme confidence that Fukuyama will ultimately be proven right and that the ideas of "free people, free-markets, and the rule of law" will one day prevail throughout the world.

But with this quote:

“Mark this well ladies and gentlemen, I had thought that the Bush Administration was just going for a “Bloodless Victory” in Iraq with a pick up of the Iranian Mullahocracy as a opportunistic benefit. Now I think we will not only get a bloodless victory trifecta over all of the names states in the “Axis of Evil”, but we may get them all before the end of the year and almost certainly before the 2004 Presidential elections.”

I have to concede that your optimism surpasses even mine.

I hope you are right. If you are, Bush will rightfully be remembered as the greatest President since Lincoln.
