Look On Them, And Despair

Lileks, in a rare visit to another venue, has some poetry reviews, and some good offerings himself.

[Via the Bellicose Babe, who needs to put up a less bellicose-looking picture of herself]

[Update a few minutes later]

I also note that Kathy has taken the trouble to fisk bin Laden's latest rantings, sparing the rest of us from having to do it.

I prefer to frisk only the lowest of the low. I have no idea if it's OBL, but I figure it probably is an official al Qaeda missive (unless it's a CIA fake...) and thusly deserves a fisk.

As for the pic, do you mean the one not of me on the front page, or the one of me on the left on the 'about' page? (The one on the right, of course, is MommaBear.)

Yes, the real one, in which you (seemingly) fiercely frown at us over your specs--not the Annie Oakley one. It makes you look like a stern librarian. Or perhaps that's the look you're after... ;-)

MommaBear is VERY proud of being portrayed as a Bellicose Woman; she will NOT get a less bellicose-looking picture to avoid ruffling the feelings of some mere male.

That was precisely the look I was after. ;)
Can't say I'm a bellicose woman and then go put up some sweet little "aww ain't she cute" type picture!
