Sorry Radley, But Saddam Really Is Like Hitler
My Fox News column is up, in which I make the case that the Hitler analogy for Saddam is not only not "extreme," but appropriate.

I see Saddam as a second-rate Stalin -- with dreams of recreating the Battle of Stalingrad. (Everybody needs a dream.) According to that Mark Bowden story in Atlantic, Saddam has a room devoted to Stalin in one of his palaces.

He clearly uses Stalinist tactics, but then, I've never seen that much difference between Hitler and Stalin. Their similarities seem much more important than any distinctions.
