Where There's A Will...

Japanese videogame makers are staging a futile effort to prevent hackers from coming up with patches to remove the clothing from CGI-generated female beach volleyball players. Apparently there are already such things for a nude version of Tomb Raider, with Lara Croft in the buff.

Seems like an oxymoronic use of the word "patch."

I guess some people are bored with the inflatable variety of artificial girlffriend...

Ummm, what did Temco expect? They make a totally ridiculous bounce-and-jiggle-fest like _DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball_, then they get upset when sexually frustrated ubergeeks take the game's premise to its logical conclusion. Temco should either get used to stuff like this or they should stick to _Pac-Man_ and _Space Invaders_.

(To get an idea of just how pointless _DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball_ really is, remember that the original _Dead or Alive_ was a fighting game, like _Street Fighter_. Now imagine EA Sports making a version of _Madden NFL 2003_ where the players play cribbage instead of football. The "xtreme" bikini babes are the *only* thing driving this game's popularity.)

This is a completely inane post, but I just have to comment on how charmingly bizarre I find the notion of underlining video game titles. It seems so formal for the subject.
