"...Really Ugly Day..."

So sayeth a moron at "Democratic" Underground. Others say that it's being staged.

There are a few sensible souls there, though. Some manage to rejoice with the Iraqi people, despite their hatred of "the chimp."

I always enjoy a good DU post when I need a laugh. My favorite of late was that the RNC actually worked to get Theresa LePore, Kathryn Harris and Jeb Bush all elected so they could steal the election for GWB. Come on people, that's so February of '01.

Or more topically, those who were investigating if we could try GWB for the murder of Saddam Hussein since war was not formally declared.

Those people need hobbies.

Just read the whole thread and have a new favorite DU quote. In suggesting that the celebrants are all US plants, they said, "Someone needs to get Peter Arnett to find out how much the CIA paid these people."

Beautiful.

After reading about DU on this weblog, I decided to check it out yesterday. I admit I fully expected to need a barf bag. Instead, I got a laugh. What amused me the most was not the idiocy and the lack of elementary understaning how world works - I had seen enough of these over the years, and they were pretty much what I expected. No, the amusing part was the general sense of dread and helplessness which permeates the entire DU. Not that any of the posters would say it in so many words, but the feeling of "Oh my god, the world is coming apart!" is palpable. Since they KNOW only the evil and the brain-dead can support GWB, 70% of US population MUST be brain-dead. And if that is the case, the prospects for US can not be good. The most telling line I saw was on the thread about the immigrant soldier from Colombia who was granted posthumous US citizenship: "If they wanted to do something nice for him, they should have granted him New Zealand citizenship. Who wants to jump onto sinking ship?"

Need I say more?

Well that was a new site for me and I'm scared. How can people who have enough sense to turn on a TV and type be that stupid!!

I checked out that that Thread and Can't be sure whether or not to laugh or cry. (The "Snapshot of our invlovement with Saddam is an especially accurate depiction of what half truths look like). Poor little Dems, The Sky is falling...
