Hey, that google thing ain't half bad:

Fast food comes to Iraq

Posted by Rick C at April 21, 2003 01:18 PM

Oh, the horror.

Haven't the Iraqis suffered enough? Saddam's gone, but now this?

Doesn't this violate some sort of biowar treaty? :-)

I mean -- fast food. Please. Shouldn't we try to export something good?

How about getting Cap Cities Brewpub (a local Washington, DC establishment) to open a Baghdad branch? Cap Cities is famous for hosting the annual DC Red Dress Run. That's what Iraq needs -- good beer and crazy, fun loving runners.

Yeah, I don't like fast food. :-)

I didn't see any mention of Taco Bell. ^-^

Anyway, does Baghdad have a KFC (Kurdish Fried Camel) yet?

Hooters. There's gotta be a Hooters.

Oh, no! Weapons of arterial destruction!

Make mine a double-meat Whopper, with fries and a large Coke.
