A man almost died from having a bluegill stuck in his throat.

The fish didn't survive the encounter. Alcohol may have been involved...

I don't know if you have ever handled a bluegill before but spines on their dorsal fin are extremely sharp. I wonder what the people at PETA think. Bluegill suicide squad getting some payback?

I have handled many a bluegill, and sunfish, and perch, in northern Michigan. I wouldn't want to get one caught on any part of my anatomy. So, the piscine jihad begins...
