Hiatus

I'm off to Wisconsin, the UP and lower Michigan for a few days. I may check in on the weekend, but probably not before.

Have fun and enjoy the snow! ;-)

Haven't heard from my parents (in Green Bay) yet this week, but as far as I know there isn't any snow in most of Wisconsin yet. Now the UP, on the other hand... yup, just checked Weather Underground, and Houghton (the only UP town I could think of) is indeed getting snow.

So, ditto!

UP: Nine months of winter, and three months of bad ice. The "autumn" phase of winter can be quite nice, though, provided you don't accidentally sleep through it.

I'm a UPer by birth. Still have family up there. It is beautiful, especially now that the hardwood is coming back. Have a nice trip! Stop by scenic Perronville, if you get a chance.
