Return Of The Queen

For those who were following the saga, I brought Stella home yesterday. She had another close call on Friday, but the antibiotics seemed to finally kick in on the weekend.

She's as ornery as ever, particularly when fighting to keep pills from going down her gullet twice daily. She has banished the usurper, Jessica, and retaken her rightful place in my lap.

Cats and pills .. I don't envy you the task. Glad your Stella is home an ornery as ever.

Good to hear the little critter is doing better.

If you can break up the pills I've managed to avoid injury by mixing them with small amounts of cream cheese or moist food, rather than using the force feed method. Otherwise, have you thought about chainmail? ;)

Good to hear she's better.

It's not that bad. She resists (mostly by trying to clamp her mouth shut), but she doesn't claw or bite.

I haven't sustained any feeding injuries yet--it's just noisy.

Congrats! Must be great to have the meowser back.

Never had to feed a pill to a cat, but our dog often falls for the pill-wrapped-in-cheese ploy. You might want to try wrapping the pil in some canned cat food and see what happens.

Rand,
I have given many pills to many cats: it's an art. Sometimes one needs rhino-hide gloves and other times the kitty takes it, lickes his lips and returns to play.
Photos! You promised photos. :-) Trade you one of our hangar cat, Mouser.
