The Body Count Rises

A man died watching Mel Gibson's latest flick.

I blame George Bush.

in all of the history of film making i would like to see a list of movies that absolutely no one died while viewing.

Didn't The Exorcist provoke a few heart attacks?

Mel still has a ways to catch up with the body count of Britain-vs-Argentina soccer games.

So many people going to so many movies every day around the world...aren't a couple of heart attacks or strokes to be expected? I'm not saying that the film's content and the poor guy's emotional response weren't factors, but I would guess that people die at the movies every once in a while. Ordinarily when it happens, it's just an obituary -- not even a local news story, much less an international one.

Specifically, I blame the Bush tax cuts.

Of course, you're right Phil. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if the family sued Gibson . . . or Bush.
