The Rest Of The Story

Dale Amon has pictures from Mojave that you're unlikely to see anywhere else. They're worth a look, even though my ugly mug is in some of them.

Eek, and so is mine. But probably not recognisable :) e.g. in both the "How many rocket scientists does it take to put out a burning barbie?" and "long shot of XCOR bbq" pics I'm in the distance sitting by the XCOR hangar wall.

I'm also the cook (on the left) of the "egg like substance", but I'm not XCOR staff ... I'm just a supporter from the other side of the Pacific (NZ). A highlight was getting to serve an egg to Jerry Pournelle, the next to Larry Niven, and then keeping the next one for myself :-)

heh

"Dr Pournelle is outstanding in the field... and you knew he was there long before you could see him"

heh heh. Surely not a reference to his um, booming voice?
