According to the United Nations web site, it's only the UN flag that's flying at half staff.

Annan does not have legal authority to order the US flag lowered to half staff (http://www.usflag.org/us.code36.html#USFC).

Flying the UN flag at half staff in mourning for a terrorist seems sadly appropriate, however.

The only thing more appropriate would be to lower the it all the way, and permanently.

The UN: The answer to the question: "What would happen if we could take a Dildo and make an international orginization out of it?"
