Want To Read Something Hilarious?

Go check out this comment on my TechCentralStation piece on the relative merits of John Kerry and George W. Bush's space policy (it's the first one by "jen larson," in case others have been put up since I published this post).

She really didn't do her homework did she Rand?

BTW Rand, she makes you out to be the Tony Saprano of the Mars Mafia!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to register and point out the error of her ways but stasis calls an I must get up early and go to my droning station.
I am sure by the time I check back tommorow evening, others will have given her both barrels.

Posted by Mike Puckett at November 28, 2004 08:50 PM

Also tell her that her argument is the largest Strawman construct in history. She is having a Rosanne Rosanadanna moment if there ever was one!

Posted by Mike Puckett at November 28, 2004 08:57 PM

Suffer the fools for they know not what they do.

Her feedback was so bad, no one bothered to reply.

Actually, the last line was my fave:

I am disgusted by the amount of defacto treason I find at this site. It's clearly an attempt to weaken America.

Maybe it could become my new blog slogan: "Weakening America daily since 2001!"

Posted by Rand Simberg at November 29, 2004 05:17 AM

LOL!

jen's comment is so absurd -- and shows she hasn't read anything by Rand et al. -- I'm wondering is she for real or is she some sort of way over the top comedian working on her material.

Best,

Chuck Divine

Or, maybe considering my comment, I should sign off as

Chuck

Vulcan Senator

Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Earth

Federation of Sentient Planets

I agree She's a little over the top. But, Rand I also have to say I do agree with her on the political point. I'm a regular reader of you're site and I've gotten kind of tired of the political posts. Hopefully now that the election is over you can get back to what you're good at SPACE.

What site was she reading when she THOUGHT she was reading TTM?

Maybe she read this site, but through a dimensional warp, her view is from a backward universe, you know the one where Superman is evil and everybody drives on the other side of the road. Like in England.

Posted by Steve at November 29, 2004 08:21 AM

ROTFLMAO! 1. Reading comprehension, what's that she asks? 2. She sure does not know you, does she. 3. Can I borrow that strawman of hers for Guy Fawkes day? Ought to make the largest fire in the world and should go up like a rocket as poorly built as it is.

Posted by Laughing Wolf at November 29, 2004 09:20 AM

She does seem a little obtuse. And she for sure doesn't read your stuff regularly or all the way through. What a maroon...

Posted by Greg at November 29, 2004 11:32 AM

May be Greg Zsidisin and Jen should compare notes.

Rand - you're a mouthpiece for a vast right wing religious cult, intent on conquering space in the name of God and the military-industrial complex ;)

Posted by Jim Rohrich at November 29, 2004 11:52 AM

Yikes! Did she actually read your columm? Has she actually read TTM (at some length, not 1 or 2 postings)?

Don't know what planet she's from, but I don't think it's this one.

BTW, Rand, I love your new slogan. ;-D

Posted by Barbara Skolaut at November 29, 2004 12:42 PM

Another potential blog slogan. "Now with 37.8% more treason!"

Posted by Rand Simberg at November 29, 2004 12:46 PM

She's an Emily Litella, I believe, not a Roseanne.

Posted by Jim Bennett at November 29, 2004 02:47 PM

You are right Jim so NEVER MIND!

Damn, Rand, are you selling T shirts? I want one to go with my "Proud Member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" one.

Yes, I really do have such a T shirt.

There are a lot of people in here with no sense of humor.

Not that there is anything wrong with that .... (smile).

Rand...

I had a cute comment to submit, but I was denied because the word sociali$t contains the word ciali$. So I can't talk about government controlled industries without being confused about male enhancements...

Posted by Leland at December 1, 2004 08:41 AM

I think she likes you.
