Those Who Know Him Best...

Michael Moore can't get no respect from his homies:

"Would you want him as a role model? Would you want your son or daughter to be like him?" asked Don Hammond, a member of the Hall of Fame selection committee. "I haven't talked to anybody yet who's for him. The word to describe Michael Moore is embarrassing. He embarrasses everybody."

(And note that, contra popular myth, he's from Davison, not my home town of Flint).

[Update at noon eastern]

Speaking of Michael Moore, Bill Whittle describes a recent encounter of the third kind with him, with some thoughts on celebrities and politics.

Well, duh...... Moore runs around claiming LOUDLY that he grew up in Flint (it's cooler, you know, than being from a wealthier & whiter suburb). So how do YOU think the Davison natives should treat him?

Hrmmm, Davison is only ten miles away from Flint, a much larger city. I'm not splitting this hair.

However, I have noticed that there's some cities that people take great pains to not be from. Eg, a long ago friend of mine always said he lived in Minneola, NY (on Long Island) even though he was effectively within walking distance of parts of New York City and it sure would have been more convenient to just say he was from NYC. Flint apparently is not such a city. :-)

Once again, someone from the Democrat side is being shown in a "bad light" during an election period. Mr. Moore should call the international election officials to oversee the elections to his High School Hall Of Fame.

If someone spent $600 of his own money and 80 whole hours of his private time, and Mr. Moore cannot get elected surely some type of voter fraud is afoot. And ONLY Republicans would consider voting fraud!!!

Just ask the Republican voting stratigests and see how fast they deny having done anything to keep Mr Moore out of the Hall Of Fame.
