If an ICBM exchange were to ever occur, I have a feeling that forgiveness for using BMD would be easier to obtain than permission.

Personally I think the BMD system currently proposed is a plain money sink. It would be better spent making improved nuclear weapons and keeping the balance of terror. Not everyone has that much dosh to burn.

The work on the laser systems is the most interesting to me. But I suppose also the most vapourous.
