Planetary Society Tests Death-Ray Weapon In Space

It must be true, it's on the Internet.

No, I don't know whether or not they're serious either.

I thought we'd already perfected that technology
Excerpt: I watched that documentary called Real Genius and saw where we could incinerate a person from orbit. Now they claim we're just developing it? No way man. Seriously though, check out this priceless bit where the mouth breathers manage to...

From 2056, Lunar Olympic officials continue search for missing pole vaulter.

Come on it's just a means of propulsion in space. Ie, peaceful purposes. No way is it going to be used to incinerate millions of my minions at my whim.

The more advanced (read faster and more compact) a means of propulsion is, the better a weapon it would make (more compact = high energy density fuel, faster = more vehicle kinetic energy). Which is fine and dandy by me. Any technology has multiple uses.

These brain damaged morons think it was going to be used ala "Diamonds are Forever" as a reflector for a 'deth rey'.
