True To Form

You know, the Rove thing reminds me a lot of the "Girlie Men" controversy:

Meanwhile, the larger context is a hissy fit about how liberals aren't wimps and hand-holders.

Hint: when you're being called a wimp, the last thing you want to do is whine about it.

But define "whining."

Is complaining automatically "whining"? Is responding that the language was unfair or out of bounds automatically "whining"? If so, then that essentially restricts the debate space. It means that the only thing people are allowed to do in order to not be called "whiners" or "wimps" is attack, attack, ATTACK.

So what you're doing is engaging in an unfair debating tactic, whereby your side gets to attack, but if the other side responds, then they're whining, right?

So, Durbin called some people Hitler and the Republicans were whining about how unfair it was?

One could define your entire blog as whining, by this definition.

Well, the Durbin case wasn't hypocritical. The whining about Rove is hypocritical. The Dems are simply being hoisted on their own pitard and whining about it.

If the comment you're complaining about is true, then you're whining.

Sounds like you are whining about all the whining.

Pin your diapers on pal. :)

Liberals are complaining about being called lawyers and psychologists. Who would have thought?

Posted by Tim Egbert at June 24, 2005 10:16 PM

And it sounds like all of you are so wussy that it actually bothers you what the Democrats say. Stop whining.

Bothers us dear lad? We simply take delight in pointing out their double standardism back to them! I daresay we enjoy it!

"MoveOn.Org, Michael Moore and Howard Dean may not have agreed with this, but the American people did. Conservatives saw what happened to us on 9/11 and said: we will defeat our enemies. Liberals saw what happened to us and said: we must understand our enemies."

Finally something we can work together towards. We need to understand our enemies better in order to kill them more effeciently.
