You Want To Talk About Torture?

John Tierney has another tale of insanity in our War on (Some) Drugs. This is cruel punishment. Sadly, it's no longer that unusual.

Yet another prosecutor and group of cops in pursuit of a conviction, and damn the reality of what they do to innocent people. It's going on in every state and county, and it doesn't matter a damn which party is in office. Doctors fear to help patients and people in pain remaining in pain, or becoming outlaws for seeking relief.
But thanks for posting this link, Rand. I love my country but more and more I fear what the government has become. Al Capone was an honest man compared to the prosecutor in this story.

Too bad the story was from the New York Times.

I refuse to go through their log-in procedure, so I guess I won't read the story.
