Bushwhacked?

I don't normally think that Harry Reid is smart enough for this sort of thing, but did he set Bush up by blessing Harriett Miers? I only ask because I'm listening to a DNC strategist saying that she's disappointed that Bush didn't "consult" with the minority leader on the latest pick.

Not smart enough?

Harry Reid apparently bush-whacked Bill Frist this afternoon.

It's not at all clear to me that this was a smart move on Senator Reid's part. It's even less clear that it has anything to do with Harriett Miers, or the judicial situation.

This evening, Bill Frist is whining about "not being consulted" before Reid's motion. Reid is expressing his unhappiness about "not being consulted" about Alito after being consulted about Meirs.

The message is spot on. Shall we "consult" each other, or not?

Besides, Frist looked bewildered today and the GOP caved on setting a timetable for Roberts' investigation.

Apples and oranges.

Besides, Frist looked bewildered today

So? Even if he's dumber than Harry Reid doesn't make Harry Reid smart.

...and the GOP caved on setting a timetable for Roberts' investigation.

Who is Roberts, and what is he investigating?

Oh, you're talking about Pat Roberts. Well, I've never claimed that Republicans are smart. Just that Harry Reid is dumb.

Heh! Compared to Tom Daschle, Harry Reid is Einstein?

Otherwise I can't really argue.
