Norma Jean Didn't Want To Say Goodbye

The supposedly suicidal Marilyn Monroe didn't seem to be in such a hurry to shuffle off this mortal coil:

June DiMaggio tells the magazine that her mother, Lee, who was the last person to speak to Monroe, recalls that Monroe screamed and dropped the phone on the night she died. June says her mother believed that more than one person entered Monroe’s bedroom that night. But Lee took this information to her grave because she feared for the safety of her family.

What?! Surely no one in the White House could have been making such threats.

June confirms rumors that Monroe and DiMaggio, who divorced in 1954 after less than a year of marriage, were planning to rewed on Aug. 8, 1962. DiMaggio had purchased rings and Marilyn had her dress and china picked out. But instead of Aug. 8 being her wedding day, it was the day of her funeral.

Ahhh...Camelot. Isn't it beautiful?

Sounds like Ol Hugh is getting some of his own back for the shabby way the Gore campaign treated him during the 2000 election. Hef started off claiming to be a libertarian and followed the money to the far left during the "revolution". He finally settled uneasily in with the "hip" Democrats, in the same tent and uncomfortably close to the gender feminists. Unfortunately, the baby boomers are more interested in greater entitlements than free love these days which makes an octogenarian roue an expendible commodity.

Rand are they really accusing a White House run by the Democrats of conspiring to cover up a case of murder and infidelity?

I am shocked!! Who did JFK think he was Bill Clinton or did Clinton decide to emulate JFK, or did or was, or am I, or did they all...oh, man, now my head hurts.

I suppose that whole period is slimy, but is there any physical indication that she was murdered? The argument that she didn't commit suicide because she was planning to marry is really weak.Especially when you consider the risk of getting caught offing one of the most famous people of the 20th Century.

Yes. I'd imagine that Google would lead you to some of the stories from the autopsy, and even some deathbed confessions of hitmen, IIRC. Whether you want to believe them is up to you, of course, but there is certainly available evidence for the proposition.

I should have expected this.

LOL- the great Marilyn conspiracy seems to resurface every 8-10 years, usually fueled by somebody trying to profit from it. JFK was a sleaze? This is news? Karen Silkwood needs to be involved in this somehow.
If the whole idea is to point fingers at sleazy democratic presidents- we could start with the first one. Oh, yeah- they got TJ on that sleeping with his slaves thing.... but there's probably more.

I bet Karl Rove was behind it.
