Can Anyone Explain To Me

...why we should take the IAEA seriously?

Mohammad El-Baradei's capitulation to Iran has made huge waves at the IAEA in Vienna. The other inspectors are up in arms. "This totally bankrupts our work" says a Viennese inspector. "Mohammad El-Baradei folds vis-a-vis the Mullahs and leaves us standing in the rain. Why don't we just let Iran be in charge of inspecting their own nuclear program?"

Why is anyone surprised that Mohammad El-Baradei is rolling over on Iran. It's nothing new. Didn't he get a bunch of grief from his felllow inspectors when he said Iraq was in compliance?

This guy wouldn't report on suspected nuclear reaction if he was searching for it a block away from the sun.

"Why don't we just let Iran be in charge of inspecting their own nuclear program?"

I thought they already were.

Place hasn't been the same since Hans Blix was fed to the Sharks......

You mean there was a time when we were supposed to have taken the IAEA seriously?

Really?

I'm on the same page as Barbara.

Iran should just withdraw from the NPT and then there wouldn't be so much angst about their program, because then they could rightfully tell the world it's nobody's business but their own.

If we don't like that, we can choose to trade or not with them. Of course, i find it highly unlikely that the west would refuse to take their oil.
