Well, if the Pelosi standard is applied, what comparable position to Lott's could Kerry resign from? Lott did not give up his Senate seat, so Kerry needn't either. His presidential candidacy? That's probably finished... If it is, then equal justice (or equal injustice) has already prevailed in these two cases.
