Happy New Year

We were cleaning up the house and having a party last night, and today we drove over to the Gulf Coast, and had a sunset dinner on Captiva Island. We just got back. Serious blogging will likely not commence until Tuesday, but as for tomorrow, Go Blue!

I'm trust the Michigan football team will have enough class to wear a #48 patch in honor of the late President.

Not "I'm", "I"

On a global level, Islamic jihad should be about as popular as the stomach flu. Maybe less so. Except for a few crazies, who wants to live in the 13th century, anyway?

Too bad our Administration looks for policies to inflame rather than dampen down that illness.

I read the bad news Rand. Sorry to hear about it, but you were warned. USA Today had the grim statistic, 0-7 for the last series of Bowl Games/Ohio State Games.

Rand,
Hope you had sun for your sunset dinner. Unfortunately, not all of us on the Gulf coast had it on Sunday.

And as another Wolverine, I can only shake my head at another New Year's Day heartbreaker.

It was cloudy on the drive over, but clear out on the island. Yes, that was a pathetic performance, offensively--the O line couldn't block, or protect Henne. It was also a coaching failure, particularly in the second half, in terms of play calling. They might have had a chance if they'd started doing in the third quarter what they did in the fourth.

So much for Michigan being pre-season number one next year (not that there's really much benefit to that).

Given the lackluster performance of the Big Ten up to the start of the Michigan game, I'm sorry that they got it handed to them, especially by USC.

At least I didn't have to eat my words from earlier this season, when I predicted they'd fall apart like the Pistons, Tigers, and RedWings.

Hopefully OSU can help make the Big Ten look as good as Wisconsin kinda did.
