Boy, if you're an old L-5er, this site sure brings back memories. I remember using many (in fact all) of those slides when I'd go around and evangelize space colonization back in the late seventies and early eighties.

Really good stuff. There are some hi res versions of most of these images floating around as well. The ideas were right, just before their time.

Wow, what memories that brought up. I couldn't figure out why so many of those images looked so familiar -- after all, I wasn't giving slideshows back then -- until I saw the name and picture at the bottom. O'Neill's Colonies in Space is still on my bookshelf somewhere. Now I'll have to dig it up this weekend and reminisce.

Hey, thanks for the mention. The chief purpose of my Space Settlement website is to keep people from forgetting these ideas. I'm convinced we'll eventually come back to them.
