"The Choice In Iraq"

Senator Lieberman explains it to his fellow Democrats. One wonder how much longer he'll remain a Democrat, if they continue to ignore him.

Joe Lieberman reminds me of Jimmy Stewart in "Mr. Smith goes to Washington". He's talking, he's saying the right things, but most of the Senate isn't listening because they have their feet up, reading a newspaper.

The Republicans are evidently reading Weekly World News and the National Enquirer based on their present bizarre behavior.

The Democrats are reading The Tehran Times or the Pyongyang Picayune and they are mightily impressed with the Military Achievements of these nations. So much so that they wish to stop fighting and bring troops home from everywhere GWB sent them.

On the other hand, we are still desperately needed for the protection, rebuilding and support of the citizens of England, Germany, Japan, Spain and Italy. Or we must still be needed as I haven't heard any Democrats yet suggest closing down any bases in those countries to free up money for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Murtha did suggest building up US forces in Okinawa, but then I think that had more to do with his limited knowledge of geography rather than his ability to think out-of-the-box on strategic force deployment.

I hope so, Anonymous Moron, because I think that Chuck Hagel is almost as much of a moron as you are. I've no idea why you'd think otherwise, since I have no particular love for people who call themselves "Republicans."
