Things are looking good for a launch at the Cape tonight. We may drive up.

Is there any way to get more a more precise indication of the launch time than the two-hour window given?

Posted by Jonathan at March 8, 2007 08:36 AM

No, but generally they will launch at the beginning of the window if they can. The only reason for delay would be either weather issues (e.g. clouds or lightning nearby) or a technical glitch that they think they can solve within the window. If all goes well, it will launch at 9:37. Because they don't have to worry about abort (and weather at multiple sites), there are a lot fewer weather issues with a launch like this than a Shuttle. I'd say it's pretty likely to go on time, barring technical problems.

Thanks. To the roof I go.
