But do we have enough Boots on the ground in Iraq? Not clear.

Count me puzzled. The tribes are now, 2007, not aligned with Al-Qaeda. The tribes were not aligned with Al-Qaeda, 2003. So in one huge step forward, we went back to where we started.

Sure, it's confusing, but let's celebrate the the step forward into the past.

Most of what we are doing now seems to be to recapture that wonderful time right after the invasion of 2003. When we were young again.

Baby steps. Good news though.

That would be puzzling only if one assumes that the only metric is, and ever was, whether or not the tribes are aligned with Al Qaeda. Hint: what else happened in 2003? If you can't figure it out, go ask the Kurds.

The situation of the Kurds is vastly improved, undoubtedly. Hopefully they can have their own state.

I think we can count on the Kurds finding their own whey.

Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the veal!
