End It, Don't Win It
Donald Sensing, on the absurd mental gymnastics that Democrats must perform to want to end a war that doesn't exist. As he says, one side can start a war, but it takes both to end it. And Al Qaeda, either in Afghanistan or Iraq, isn't ready to quit. Particularly when, based on the actions of the Dems, they think they're winning.

The war that is currently being waged by us is so bereft of clarity that the sooner it is ended the better.
There are other means to achieve the ends Sensing is concerned about. The first step is to acknowledge that what we are doing right now makes no sense. Until and especially until the cheering squad on the right sees this, we can't meaningfully talk about what should take its place.
Fortunately more intelligent conservatives such as William F. Buckley appear to see the nonsense for what it is. So there is hope.
