A Reminder

That few, if any, contemporary politicians are the equals of the statesmen who were the founders. Sadly, few are even taught such things in either the public schools, or the universities.

Would todays politician expend the effort used on reelection towards actually performing their duties, we would have fewer problems to solve.

I can agree to that Bill. It seems the winning of an election is the green light to trying to win again down the road. Even in our more enlightened society, power corrupts. And yes, that's all sides of the aisle.

Scores of distinguished British officers refused commissions to fight against us. Some, who were willing, were reluctant to press their advantage over our literally rag-tag army.

Anyone know what happened to these guys?
