Big-Government Surgeon General

Appointments like this are what make the notion that George Bush is a conservative so laughable.

Only a year and a half to go.

Rand, Given that the position exists, what would your ideal Surgeon General support? Other than eliminating all speed limits on highways? ;-)

What the hell do we need a surgeon general for, anyway? To guide the army of doctors and nurses to "take that hill" with their scalpels? It's a useless title for a useless job, as are many current government appointments.

When I am ruler of the world I shall eliminate these useless "positions." Well, I'll eliminate everyone else in government, actually. But you have to start somewhere.

Where are the trolls with their usual "You're always supporting Bush" accusation?
