A Free Man

Keith Henson survived his stint in jail in Riverside. I'm reliably informed that he's been released. Hopefully, other than a restrictive probation period, the long nightmare is over for him.

More background here.

Glad he's finally out. I hope we are reaching a tipping point where Scientology is being exposed for what it is. While I know there will always be people fooled by their techniques, hopefully over the next decade it will fade away....

Drudge has a link on his page right now. The Belgians are going after them. This may be the tipping point for this cult.

Did you catch this in the AP article on what's going on in Brussels (via InstaPundit):

"Belgium, Germany and other European countries have been criticized by the State Department for labeling Scientology as a cult or sect and enacting laws to restrict its operations."

The State Department is an apologist for Scientology?!

Doesn't surprise me; The US does, after all, have the dubious honor of being the country where this scam originated. There's substantial reason, (Their special IRS status, for instance. Keith's trials, not being unique, for another.) to think our government deeply compromised by this bunch.

Great news, anyway!
