Mitt's Religion Speech

First draft. This is pretty funny. I particularly like the "Pentecostals" options.

What's Mitt got against banjos?

The late Reggie White, Christian minister and Green Bay Packer extraordinare, gave a speech in the Wisconsin State Capitol that was way beyond Governer Romney's ideas of the Rainbow Coalition.

Mr. White tried to assign some qualities to different ethnic groups so as to say that everyone had something unique to add to the Melting Pot, but in so doing, he hit upon every ethnic and racial stereotype one can think of. Mr. White received a gentle chiding about that and a reminder that blacks are often at the receiving end of those kinds of stereotypes, however well-meaning and well-intentioned, such remarks can offend.

But the most of that was forgotten and the part that got press play was the critique of gays, not quite the full Hell fire and brimstone Leviticus treatment, but essentially a dose of Reggie White's Christian perspective.

Anyway, that speech pretty much ended Reggie White's political aspirations even though as a star Packer defensive player he was very popular.
