Do What I Do, Not What I Say?

Did Mike Huckabee, aspiring to be the Nanny-In-Chief, have gastric bypass surgery?

It wouldn't shock me. I see him as a Republican version of Bill Clinton, minus the womanizing (including the involuntary relations with women).

[Update on New Year's Eve]

This seems to be a pretty good refutation of the speculation. Not that it makes me any more inclined to vote for a nanny, even one who follows his own advice.

No information in that article at all. Get back to us when some actual facts are uncovered.

While there's no definite factual information in that article (as in, they talked to the surgeon and he took pictures) there's a lot of evidence that makes a pretty convincing case! It's very well constructed and supported, and wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out it's true.

I'm not a Hucksterbee supporter, but that article is long on words, but short on facts. If he had a bypass, but said it was diet and exercise, then it's another case of saying he's a Republican but sounding and acting like a Democrat.

Either way, his forced health initiative thinking certainly smacks more of liberal nanny stateism, than conservative thought ideals.
