« Why Bush's Foreign Policy Is Screwed Up | Main | He Gave Them A Cigar? »

Big News?

Hard to say what the effect will be, but reportedly, the day before the election, Rush Limbaugh has broken with precedent and, to all extents and purposes, endorsed a candidate in a Republican Primary:

Right after Rush finished the football segment, he popped in, out of reference or context, and read the best parts of the Human Events endorsement of Fred! I was sick in bed and heard it. He ended with asking the South Carolinians to seriously consider voting Fred Thompson if they believe in conservatism, and then went for the commercial.

Will it help? Hard to see how it can hurt.

Will it help?

It will help discredit Rush Limbaugh.

"It will help discredit Rush Limbaugh."

Why on Earth would it do that? He's never claimed to be a Republican spokesman - but a conservative one.

McCain has been riding the "I'm a moderate!" horse for decades. Giuliani has taken a couple of firmly liberal stances. Huckabee is openly a populist.

There's only three candidates that might actually be conservative: Romney, Thompson, and Paul.

One's crazy, and one is a Republican der schlickmeister. There just aren't a lot of choices left for a conservative.

So Thompson'scampaign Slogan will be
"More drug addicted Felons prefer Thompson then any
other primary candidate"

If thompson were a real conservative he would decline
the Limbaugh Endorsement

Al, you have to remember, Jim's a member of the Wishful-Thinking-Based Community.
